Juliette Ricci Studios

Juliette Ricci Lagman is a Tacoma, Washington based artist working in mixed media painting.  Through her intimate and personal expression, Juliette explores new ways of being vulnerable.  Her work offers up bold colors and diaristic writing which is sometimes too revealing for the viewer.  Using text and image, Juliette describes these pieces as “a way to ultimately bring everything together as an artist and as a human being.”  Ricci treats her canvases as the pages of her diary- but on a slightly larger scale.  She is a graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  Juliette’s influences include artists such as Andy Warhol, Cindy Sherman and Francesca Woodman.  Juliette has donated work to the Cascade Aids Project and also been involved in Barewalls, a benefit for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s scholarship fund.
